Here is John Gilman’s review:
“Last, but certainly not least, we arrive at the sole Auslese in the Zilliken cellars this year. This is a beautiful, beautiful wine, with almost no influence of botrytis to be found on either the nose or palate. The brilliantly refined nose offers up a magical mélange of pineapple, tangerine, wild yeasts, kaleidoscopic minerality, bee pollen and lemon blossoms. On the palate the wine is very pure, fullish and blazing on the attack, with brilliant depth, superb intensity of flavor, snappy acids, laser-like focus and utterly stunning length and grip on the gem-like and endless finish. The energy that is wrapped up inside this wine is enormous, but it never strays from its very pure and precise beam on the palate. This may well be the greatest young, non-botrytized Auslese I have ever tasted! (drink 2020-2075)” 97 points
