Description
“The 2020 Assemblage Blanc Sylvaner de Chamoson & Roussanne et Petit Arvine de Fully offers an intense, clear, fresh and lemon-scented, still slightly reductive but concentrated and stony bouquet with generous, fresh rather than ripe white and yellow fruit aromas that ask for a big glass or at least lots of aeration. Lean and fresh in style but dense and fleshy on the palate, this is a full-bodied, tight and textural assemblage with a perfectly dosed layer of sur lie texture that gives this otherwise vital and grippy blend delicious roundness. However, this is still a year or perhaps two too young to sing. The wine has firm phenolic structure that still needs to polymerize with the texture. Or maybe it would help to pair it with tuna or mackerel sashimi, as the team suggests on the website. I suppose, they are experienced. 14.3% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in Zurich in February 2022.” 93 Stephan Reinhardt
