This is 100% from the 2006 vintage, in fact their declassified vintage wine!! So it too has been aged for 9+ years on the lees, like their vintage wine….It is a blend of 39% Chardonnay/39% Meunier/22% Pinot Noir, with a dosage of 5 grams. I haven’t tasted this one yet, but I would bet that it offers crazy good value as it is essentially their vinage Champagne at entry level prices….trust your grower!!
“(60% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and 40% Chardonnay; roughly 6 g/l dosage; LA 08-230913): Light gold. Spice-accented pear, melon, white peach and honey on the nose and in the mouth. Supple and expansive, with suave floral and gingery spice qualities building with air and adding back-end lift. Finishes supple and long, with lingering tangerine and floral notes and a late jolt of chalky minerals.” 91 points Josh Raynolds for a DIFFERENT disgorgement; this is included just to give you an historical idea of the cuvée.
