“Incredible concentration and every bit as much finesse. The forest berry notes are right off the scale, just like the stony minerality, which some may find too much, but for me is totally exciting. The drive and energy at the finish must be experienced to be believed. Decades of aging potential. From vineyards planted in 1926 by the winemaker’s grandfather in the Les Greffieux and Le Meal sections of the hill of Hermitage. Best from 2027.” 99 Stuart Piggott

“very dark colour; the nose has class, has a very well together collection of black fruits, hints of herbs, even iodine, is a commanding start with a low-key herbal-stem influence. The palate also has classy authority, a firm stream of dark fruit, the tannins coming with energy, drive, carry a whole bunch feel, even if they are resounding. It is threaded with iron, reaches out well, finds more as it goes, moves towards crunchy on the finish. There is, surprisingly, little link to the summer conditions here. The fact that it is droit- straight along, is a very good sign. From 2029+. 2053-55 Feb 2023” Five Stars, John Livingstone Learmonth
