As always, good Bourgogne rouge is a great way to get to know a house style…..this hails from two parcels in Volnay: Condemaine and Longbois. The ’21 has just been bottled, and Marc-Olivier tells me that he is particularly satisfied with this one, given the tricky nature of the much cooler ’21 vintage. The incredibly low yields helped to give this the needed ripeness, and it should be a wine that fans of crunchy red fruited, higher acidity Burgundy wines will be glad to have on hand.
