From a fairly steep parcel planted 70/30 to Cabernet Sauvignon/Sangiovese, Fabio tells me that (once again!) the ’22 rosato has turned out wonderfully well, all on little red fruits and fine florals, very clean, linear, with bright rising perfume and a salty mineral finish. It is classically balanced vintage, he tells me, with natural alcohol around 12.5%, a healthy yield, and is dangerously drinkable…As it so often is (like all things Collestefano), a value hound’s dream……This is named for and features “artwork” made by his daughter Elena.
