A perennial value play superstar, the rosé of Pinot Noir is one of my top 5 rosés every year, as its sense of mineral persistence meets high toned pretty red fruits and florals is just plain delicious, and surprisingly age worthy…..rosé season is around the corner!!!
“Translucent orange-pink. Highly perfumed, mineral-accented strawberry, nectarine and orange zest scents, along with a hint of pungent flowers. Silky, seamless and focused on the palate, offering vibrant red berry, citrus fruit and white peach flavors and a sweetening touch of honey. Deepens with air and finishes very long and silky, with lingering red fruit character and vibrant mineral cut.” 93 Josh Raynolds for the 2019, NOT THE 2022 OFFERED HERE
Single parcel crus: In Gérard’s single vineyard wines, we have hands down some of the most compelling wines of the appellation, no matter who you ask or how you slice it. There is a loyal-as-can-be following for the wines that is only growing, rightfully so…..mix up a case or two, and thank me later. As a side note, pricing continues to rise ex-cellars (deservedly so), but I am doing my best to keep things as affordable as possible….
