The next three wines are always some of the best value plays in the region, qualitatively being on a very high level, but coming down moreso to peronal preferences in character rather than any raw qualitative nit. I often refer to them as the “big three”, but the Clos de Verchère has stepped up over the past few years to be on that level as well. Just like the Clos de Verchère, this rockhead delight was not yet bottled. It is It is regularly my favorite in the range, as I adore the salty imploded limestone character that it imparts, always with a sense of class and enrobing silky fruit profile. If you love great dynamic white Burgundy in that register, load up, as I think that I will be able to get what we collectively ask for after having to use tweezers last year for allocations……Long live la Roche de Vergisson!!! ;0
