Description
After several years of this wine NOT being in the mix, the 2021 crop proved generous enough to make this single lieu dit Gevrey villages. I found it to be terrifically finessed and fine out of barrel; it seems that both Allen and Jasper appreciated it as well……a surprisingly solid amount available, I think because it is not a regular entrant and most importers don’t want to work with something in only one year; this is not a burdensome limitation to me…. ;0 A little * awarded here.

There is again very good volume and generosity to the seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that exhibit fine length on the rustic but solidly persistent finale. “Maison. Two barrels, both one year old, destemmed. A rich purple, this wine was late to complete its malolactic, so there is still plenty of gas.
