Description
I personally consider this bottling their flagship of sorts, as they make quite a good bit of it in a typical year, with 2021 producing nearly 8 times less than usual. À la the Genevrières parcel in Meursault, this is a wine of filigree, limestone driven finesse. Yummy……
“The 2020 Mâcon-Cruzille Les Geniévrières has turned out very nicely, wafting from the glass with aromas of crisp green apples, pear, confit citrus, freshly baked bread and beeswax. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, its enveloping core of fruit girdled by racy acids, it concludes with a long, saline finish. This cuvée is especially charming this year.” 93 William Kelley for the 2020, NOT THE 2021 OFFERED HERE
