Description

From a .2 hectare parcel of 45+ year old vines in the En Juillet lieu dit. They make roughly 125 cases of this in a good year, but just 50 cases in 2021!. After I tasted this, I pleaded for more than my initial allocation, but Sarah told me it was all reserved. Then, about a month ago, somebody cancelled their 60btl reservation, and she offered it to me, which I gobbled up immediately. This is downright classical in its sense of body and cut, a refreshingly mineral and white floral example that screams Bourguignon. Value hounds, you shouldn’t miss both this and the Bourgogne blanc, as it doesn’t get better than this for the money…..

“Very spicy aromas of green apple and citrus precede rich, delicious and nicely textured flavors that conclude in a super-refreshing and lemony finish. This is really quite good for what it is and worth considering as a summer sipper. 87/2022+” Allen Meadows ———-> “particularly outstanding for their respective appellations and especially merit your attention” for the 2019, NOT THE 2021 OFFERED HERE.
