Description
This cuvée has developed a solid little following, showcasing the undeniable substance and deliciousness of old vine Aligoté when farmed with respect and modearation. White florals, chalky and citric, it is at once mouth watering and caressingly silky. This is great stuff, once again…..
(from Marsannay vines planted in 1923). An exuberantly spicy, airy and fresh nose offers up notes of citrus, green apple and a floral whiff. There is excellent vibrancy to the detailed and stony middle weight flavors that terminate in a clean, very dry and bitter lemon-inflected finale. This is a lovely aligoté.
