Description
9.8 g/L acidity, 83 g/L RS – When I asked both Stefan and Sabine what their personal favorite wines in the range are, Sabine mentioned this wine as her favorite, and Stefan had it in his top 3. Sabine said that anytime customers claim that they don’t like the fruity/sweet wines and that they only drink dry wines, she pours them this, their eyes get big with yummy wonder, and they buy it….Based on their input, what I know of the exceptionally dancy quality of 2021, the analytics which suggest as much (dancy), and the great MFW review, I think that this one is a no brainer, winner winner chicken dinner. Once you factor in the value quotient, this seems like a steal of a deal……
“The 2021er Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Spätlese *** is made from fruit picked at 90° Oechsle and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar (80 g/l). This bright colored wine offers a gorgeous nose made of pineapple, apricot blossom, herbs, earthy spices, and fine elements of smoke. It proves subtly sweet yet still remarkably engaging on the palate, where it reveals the juicy presence of a fine Auslese. The finish is mouth-wateringly playful and enjoyable. Zesty elements add pep to the aftertaste. While big, this Auslese combines complexity with drinking properties. 2029-2041” 92 Mosel Fine Wines
