Description

8.2 g/L acidity, 31 g/L RS, 10% alcohol. – This is a cool and singular wine from a monopole site tucked into the upper slope of the Goldtropfchen vineyard.  When I asked Stefan what his pet favorite wines are, he mentioned this wine in his top 3 for everyday purposes, as he adores its swiss-army-knife utility for all things, noting that it is a wine that you can drink anytime, and it is always welcome.  He characterizes the wines of the Gärtchen as being particularly finessed and fine.  Nifty.
“The 2021er Piesporter Gärtchen Riesling Spätlese Feinherb is an off-dry wine (with 28 g/l of residual sugar) made from fruit picked at 88° Oechslein this solely-owned single vineyard tucked in the Piesporter Goldtröpfchen. It offers a subtly creamy nose made of melon, lemon, apricot blossom, pineapple, and fine herbs wrapped into whipped cream. The wine is fully off-dry on the palate but a kick of acidity adds some cut to the comparatively intense finish. 2024-2033” 90 Mosel Fine Wines
