Description
This is a seriously good bone dry rosé, made to be a “serious” wine that just happens to be pink. It is from his best Pinot Noir vineyard, and sounds damn tasty to me…..
“The 2020er Pinot Noir Rosé Schlummerfuchs is a bone-dry wine (with less than 2 g/l of residual sugar) fermented in used barrique from fruit picked in the Estate’s prime holdings in the Kestener Herrenberg. It offers a beautifully subtle nose of plum, cooked strawberry, a hint of herbs, and smoky elements. The wine proves delicately crisp on the palate and leaves a tart feel underlined with ripe fruits and spices in the long and quite focused finish. This is a superb Summer Rosé with enormous seriousness to it as well. Now-2024” 90 Mosel Fine Wines
