Description
In general, the Lafouge red wines have garnered a certain following, but MAN his Meursault wines are crazy good!…..from two parcels: 1/3 from Aux Moulin Landin, and 2/3 from les Clous, from vines pushing up on 45 years old. A great example of precise elegance over any one element standing out, this is a gorgeously precise and complex wine balancing its sense of Meursault typical richness with a seamless sense of supportive tension. This is classical in its profile and then some, and will age wonderfully on its sense of harmony. A little * awarded here. It is rare to find an entry level Meursault villages with so much class and character!!
“(from Les Clous Dessus and La Moulin Landin). Pretty and nicely layered aromas are comprised by notes of grilled hazelnut, poached pear and acacia. Here too there is good volume to the nicely rich medium-bodied flavors that possess a finer mouthfeel while displaying good minerality on the clean and dry finish. This too is lovely.
