Description
From a .2 hectare parcel of 45+ year old vines in the En Juillet lieu dit. They make roughly 125 cases of this in a good year. Sarah tells me that the 2020 is particularly good in its classical sense of body and cut, a refreshingly mineral and white floral example that screams Bourguignon. Value hounds, you shouldn’t miss this and the Bourgogne blanc, as it doesn’t get better than this for the money…..
“An overtly spicy nose speaks of petrol, grapefruit, lemongrass, and a hint of orange peel. The succulent, delicious and rounded middle weight flavors possess that terminate in an energetic and refreshing finish. This isn’t particularly complex, but it would make the perfect companion for a summer BBQ or pool sipper, as it’s agreeably dry and clean. 86/2021+” Allan Meadows for the 2018, NOT THE 2020 OFFERED HERE.
