Description
Another second year entrant in the range comes from a single parcel in the village of Montagny, from a significantly different soil type than the Galets bottling. Its soils are made up of granite and sand, which yields a decidedly more structured and vertical wine than the moraine depoits and large round stones of the Galets bottling. Based on how good the Galets bottling is in every vintage, this one too sounds like a no brainer, if a bit more structured……
“Red, a little purple in the robe; There’s a restrained air of raspberry, a hint of sweetness, a plunge of depth on the nose, with a floral hint. The palate runs with crisp, beckoning fruit, raspberry on wheels with a note of discreet tannins. It has very good definition, is all together, its tannins are nicely tucked inside with real appeal in the late fruits. To 2026 July 2021” Four Stars John Livingtone Learmonth
