From the old vine sweetspot at the foot of the Mont Damnés parcel, this is my personal fave, a candidate for the greatest wine in the appellation in every vintage I have tasted it. In substantial depth, harmony, and ineffable magic, this is a seamlessly silky nectar-of-the-gods example of the greatness of Chavignol at its best. This is the first vintage that Gérard has elected to hold the Comtesse back a year for additional bottle age before release, and is allocated to me based on my long time historical support. I will spread it around….!!!
