Description
My 2017 note: Oh la la, mon chou chou perso, comme d’hab!. (oh my! my pet favorite, as usual…). Voilà! C’est la Roche qui parle! (There it is! It is the rock that is talking here!). Self evident class and complexity, in the imploded and powerful mineral style so typical of this site. Spicy, a bit smoky/reductive, this is simply class in a rockhead-white-burgundy glass. Another example of a wine that is not appropriate to review so early on in its elevage, as the critics so often do….Get what you can….A little star * awarded here….
“Here too pungent aromas of wood and secondary fermentation aromas render the nose impossible to accurately assess. By contrast there is fine density and verve to the utterly delicious middle weight flavors that possess a more refined and more mineral-driven texture before culminating in a clean, dry and sneaky long finish. This
should clean up and ultimately offer very fine quality over a mid-term aging curve. (91-93)/2025+” Allen Meadows ———–> “particularly outstanding for their respective appellations and especially merit your attention”
