Description

I list this one first very much on purpose!!! I am psyched that the newest vintage of the Larmandier rosé, a wine that is not produced in every vintage and that has a track record of being one of the most compelling pinkies produced in the region, happens to be available, unlike when I sent out the offer in late ’18……this is 100% from the 2016 vintage, disgorged in September of ’18, ……Great rosé lovers, get it while the gettin’ is good…!!!

“The latest edition of Larmandier-Bernier’s NV Extra Brut Rosé de Saignée is simply stunning, wafting from the glass with scents of minty red apples, rose petals and blood orange. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, pure and elegant, with a concentrated core of vibrant fruit, a pinpoint mousse and a long, beautifully fragrant finish. This wine’s alliance of delicacy and intensity makes it one of the most exciting rosé bottlings being produced in all of Champagne. This cuvée derives from the domaine’s oldest vines in Vertus and is disgorged with three grams per liter dosage.” 96 William Kelly of Parker’s Wine Advocate

“A standout in this range, the NV (2014) Extra Brut Rosé de Saignée Grand Cru is gorgeous, even if it is quite a bit lighter in color and style than was common in the past. Shorter maceration yields a Rosé built on energy and crystalline tension. Cranberry, mint, chalk, game and smoke infuse this super-expressive and hugely pleasing Champagne from Pierre and Sophie Larmandier. Disgorged: April 2017. Dosage is 3 grams per liter.” 95 Antonio Galloni for the 2014 base wine, NOT THE 2019 OFFERED HERE.
