2019 Larmandier Bernier Rosé de Saignée Extra Brut Premier cru MAGNUM

2019 Larmandier Bernier Rosé de Saignée Extra Brut Premier cru MAGNUM

$229.00

Description

This is their “regular” rosé de saignée, from old vine Pinot Noir (and a 10% smidgen of Pinot Gris) in Vertus, partially de-stemmed, co-macerated for 2-3 days, and then aged in stainless steel on the lees for a year, then bottle aged for 2 years prior to disgorgement. This freshly disgorged 2018 will fall right in line with the outstanding track record of this most singular and under-the-radar best-in-class quality here….for fans of great rosé Champagne, I can’t recommend their rosés highly enough. This is the first time, incidentally, that i’ve been able to offer this in Magnum….

“The NV (2016) Extra Brut Rosé de Saignée is a classy, gorgeous wine. Bright, sculpted and finely chiseled, the 2016 has so much to offer. Chalk, mint, white pepper and crushed rocks perk up the red berry fruit. Sweet floral notes emerge with a bit of time in the glass. In this vintage, the Rosé is wonderfully translucent and so expressive. The NV Rosé is 100% Pinot Noir from 45-50 year-old vines in Vertus, done in steel. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: January, 2020.” 95 Antonio Galloni for the 2016, NOT THE 2019 OFFERED HERE.
