The monopole 1er cru from the within the Chateau’s walled Clos, this is the middle ground of the Goldilocks golden rule, not too high, not too low. It has more impressive fruit density allied to matière (substance) than the other two red 1ers. About as good as it gets in Chassagne rouge, a 6pk-case buy no brainer. To follow its evolution will be a delight.
“(a monopole of the Domaine). A well-layered combination is comprised by notes of both red and dark berries, freshly turned earth and pretty spice nuances. The fleshy, round and delicious flavors possess an attractive texture along with very good underlying tension on the equally powerful, balanced and firmly structured finale. This should be excellent if given adequate time to develop. (91-93)/2029+” Allan Meadows
