A blend of 8 lieux dits from contrasting exposures and soils of the entire village : Les Bas-Doix, Les Danguerrins , Les Argillières, Les Drazeys, Aux Croix, les Clos, Les Bussières, and les Cras. Ahhh Chambolle. The lovely. I thought that this was pure loveliness….
“(the majority of the blend comes from Les Bas Doix with the rest from Les Drazey, Les Cras, Les Bussières, Les Croix, Les Argillières and Les Danguerrins; 30% whole clusters). Here too soft wood is present on the more elegant and slightly fresh aromas of various dark berries, spice and violet scents. The sleek and focused medium weight flavors flash a subtle minerality that adds a sense of lift to the refreshingly vibrant and lingering finish. Note that this is sufficiently firm to repay 6 to 10 years of cellaring. (88-91)/2026+” Allan Meadows
“(the majority of the blend comes from Les Bas Doix with the rest from Les Drazey, Les Cras, Les Bussières and Les Danguerrins). A cool, pretty and airy nose consists primarily of red pinot fruit with a hint of dark currant. The sleeker and notably finer medium-bodied flavors exude a fine minerality that continues onto the delicious, vibrant and lingering finish where a hint of bitter cherry arises. This is a classic Chambolle of grace and lace. (87-89)/2021+” Allan Meadows
