As I mentioned in the intro, I savored these wines over a few hours and came away beyond impressed by the sense of delicacy and prettiness which I was not exepecting, whatsoever. This is a breakthrough vintage for him, so fans of great world class Pinot Noir, particularly in a pretty, delicate, and spicy vein, take heed!!! The value quotient is nuts for such quality (notice this theme repeating itself yet?). All of the ’18s have 50% whole cluster inclusion, and alcohols at 13.5% or below.
My note: “Wonderful. Absolutely gorgeous sense of delicacy and airiness, all on persistent, weightless inner mouth perfume and little red fruits. A positively delightful sense of grace, silky texture, and prettiness. A little bit more grip/structure vs the Paulinshofberg. Class!’ A little * awarded here. Fwiw, this is planted 70% to clone 777, and 30% to the Ritter German clone.
