As I mentioned in the intro, I savored these wines over a few hours and came away beyond impressed by the sense of delicacy and prettiness which I was not exepecting, whatsoever. This is a breakthrough vintage for him, so fans of great world class Pinot Noir, particularly in a pretty, delicate, and spicy vein, take heed!!! The value quotient is nuts for such quality (notice this theme repeating itself yet?). All of the ’18s have 50% whole cluster inclusion, and alcohols at 13.5% or below.
This is planted 100% to the German Freiburger clone, fwiw. My note: “Deeper cherry toned fruit, with a good sense of spiciness. This is definitely the spiciest and most powerful of the ’18s tasted here.” This too is terrific, in deeper and spicier vein. Man oh man, these Pinots are outrageously good for the money…..
