The heart of the story is and always has been his Cordeloux, the single steep terraced hillside that regularly yields a wine of intense violet florals, blue/black fruits, whole cluster spiciness, and a bit of meaty savory, all delivered with a sense of finesse that is a signuture part of the patte maison (house style). The long aniticipated new release of the Cordeloux is the 2018 vintage, a wine that is quite similar to its 2017 brethren in its intense violot florals, but even a bit deeper/more concentrated, with a bit more muscle and savory than the strikingly pretty 2017. In a crowd, it would likely be a toss up as to who prefers which, the prettiness of the 2017 vs the deeper more muscley 2018. Fans of Pierre’s wines will find all of the telltale elements of the house style, and will love seeing the deep 2018 evolve over the next 20 years…….As is my preference, i’m keeping pricing fair and decent, in spite of the global speculation that continues to escalate for his wines; I can pretty much guarantee that these are the best prices one will ever encounter globally for the wines……and soooooo……
