A pet favorite of mine, as the 2016 was incredibly good, and exactly what I look for in Bourgogne level wines: authentic typical village character with the house style well represented, at a bargain hunter price. From three Vosne based Bourgogne level parcels les Combes, les Croix Blanches, and les Pâquiers, this year’s is a very good wine whose most intense element is that of Vosne typical violet florals, with light spice and an admirably appealing texture. This is once again a wine that value hounds should covet as an everyday Vosnean option, if not quite up to the transcendent level of the 2016.
