“The 2019 Wachenheimer Böhlig P.C. is pure and stony on the nose. On the palate, this is a dense and juicy yet crystalline, finessed and tightly structured, intense, quite powerful and slightly tannic Riesling with ripe stone fruit aromas and a long, charming finish. This 2019 Böhlig will make its way over the years. Tasted as a sample in April 2020. 94-96 points” Stephan Reinhardt
2018 Bürklin-Wolf Wachenheimer Böhlig Riesling Premier cru

Description
“Bürklin-Wolf owns two-thirds of this 12-acre, south-facing, chalk-inflected sandstone Einzellage below Altenburg and hard up against the village of Wachenheim itself. Piquant pear and apple seeds, tar, juniper and wet stone on a pungently penetrating nose suggest that what’s in store on the palate might be austere. But the opposite is the case, as juicy flesh of pear and apple dominate a glossy, expansive palate, while the wine’s piquant and pungent elements as well as chalk impingement serve for stimulating counterpoint, leading into a finish of impressive resonance and depth.” 93 David Schildknecht
“The 2018 Wachenheimer Böhlig P.C. offers a clear, fine, pure, fresh and elegant bouquet with citric and chalky aromas. Lush yet pure on the palate, this is a very elegant, salty-piquant and firmly mineral-structured Riesling with remarkable finesse, intensity and complexity. A great wine. Tasted in Wachenheim in December 2019.” 94 Stephan Reinhardt
