I thought that this was simply outstanding, as good of an Exhibit A example of everyday dry Alsatian Riesling as one could possibly ask for. And don’t think that it won’t age well, either, as it has the stuffing and balance to age for far longer than you have patience for…..This is principally from young vines in the Belzbrunnen, a 1er cru site in the upcoming reclassifications….
“Bright straw-yellow. Lemony and floral aromas and flavors are rather powerful and luscious yet high in acid freshness. Finishes classically dry (only 3.7 g/L r.s.), long and very savory, with noteworthy lemony acidity (7.9 g/L total acidity). Outstanding entry-level quality here.” 90 Ian D’Agata
