The Granit blanc is another level of complexity and depth altogether. From a north facing cooler depression in his vineyard, Gérard has methodically figured out how to balance the richness and cut that his sunny maritime clime offers. This has grilled ocean fish written all over it, and would turn any summertime meal into something special indeed. The signature maquis, or wild herbs/scrub brush that grow rampant in Corsica, begins to show its face here moreso than with the entry level wines, adding unique complexity.
