This single parcel villages wine is bottled only by Sigaut and Seguin, and promises a bit more stuffing than the blended villages. This is the one that makes my value hound ears perk up…..
“A brooding and slightly more deeply pitched nose reflects notes of plum, cassis, earth and a hint of humus. The rich, concentrated and full-bodied flavors possess excellent power and drive that continues onto the lightly mineral-inflected and palate coating finish. This is notably more firmly structured and while this is no more elegant than the straight Chambolle villages, there is clearly more underlying material. Patience advised.
