Here is John Gilman’s review:
“The 2014 Juffer-Sonnenuhr Spätlese was also bottled the day before my visit and was showing outstanding potential and utterly classic shape and bounce. The superb nose wafts from the glass in a blend of lime, pear, spring flowers, a touch of cress, wild yeasts, citrus zest, slate and a lovely esthery topnote of bee pollen. On the palate the wine is medium-full, pure and very precise, with a fine core, beautiful transparency, bright acids and a very long, seamless and dancing finish. Gorgeous juice that will be hard to resist out of the blocks, but I would try to keep my hands off of it for five or six years and really let it blossom. 2020-2050. 94.”
