Description

This second new single vineyard wine takes its name from the 35 rows of vines found in Philippe’s one hectare in the kimmeridgian marnes blanches rich, east facing lieu dit Champaloin in the village of Vignoux, which were planted by Philippe’s grandfather Paul in the 1960s. 100% destemmed, then macerated for 20 days entirely in large foudre, then raised in barrel for 18 months. 12.5% alcohol, and a bit less than 300 cases made. The cooler precision of the classical 2014 vintage coupled with old vine depth and wonderfully moderate alcohol has me salivating and then some, as I am certain that this one will be a delicate knockout of treble intensity and power without weight……With how good the Renardi√®res is, this one has to be even more compelling, as Philippe wouldn’t just price it willy nilly…..I trust the guy whole heartedly……Pinot Noir lovers, take heed!!
