La Corvée is a weightier and more powerfully mineral wine, with more structure, a more “stereotypical” example of Ladoix. This is moreso in the vein of what one expects from a Corton profile. Between the two Ladoix 1ers, we have a great sense of contrast.
“An attractively fresh nose is comprised by high-toned floral and red berry fruit aromas. There is good size, weight and richness to the delicious middle weight flavors that possess moderately firm tannins on the balanced and slightly rustic finish. This offers both good balance and complexity and will also require a few years of bottle age first to round on the mildly chewy structure. 89/2021+” Allan Meadows
