Description

Hailing from vines at the bottom portion of the slope whose depth of character allows for even greater evolutionary potential, Dominique ages this for a year in demi-muid before then ageing it for 3 years+ sur latte before disgorgement; roughly 250 cases are made annually. I am thrilled to be able to start with a vintage like 2014, a great classically balanced vintage in my opinion, based on my experiences with other Aube Pinot Noir growers that year (Cédric Bouchard, Nathalie Falmet). Again, I believe that the value quotient here is fantastic, one than any fan of outstanding red fruited artisanal Champagne should leap at the opportunity to enjoy. There is decent availability of this one, so get it while the gettin’ is good……

“A complete and wonderfully nuanced wine, the 2013 Extra Brut Efflorescence is fabulous. Bright and sculpted to the core, the 2013 exudes energy. Chalk, mint, jasmine and orchard fruit add complexity, but it is the wine’s overall balance that is most impressive. The Efflorescence offers striking translucence and energy from start to finish. The non-dosé style is especially successful here. Disgorged in April 2017 with no dosage.” 94 Antonio Galloni for the 2013, NOT THE 2014 OFFERED HERE.
