I’ve ALWAYS been floored by the strength of Pascal’s Morey wines, obviously from a very high quality and consistent source. In his Clos des Ormes, I find it to be a remarkable pleasure bomb of a wine every year, terribly complete in its hedonistic and intellectual appeal. This year is no exception, and i’ve been given a larger allocation than ever. Trust me when I say that 3-6 bottles of this wine will be a VERY welcome addition to the cellar. You will thank me later.
“An ultra-fresh and distinctly cool nose presents notes of herbal tea, pomegranate, lilac and sandalwood. Like the Vergy this is a wine of finesse and refinement as the delineated flavors dance across the palate on the mildly austere and agreeably persistent finale. This restrained effort should also be capable of rewarding 6 to 8 years of cellaring. (89-92)/2021+” Allan Meadows
