Jean-Pierre loves the mineral austerity of la Comme, like A LOT. He always is telling me, eyes lighting up with wild enthusiasm, about how much this is one of his pet favorites, in both white and red. Seems like Allan is on board with this 2014 (and the 2013 as well, now sold out)….
“Here too a subtle application of wood easily allows the slightly more elegant red pinot fruit aromas that are liberally cut with nuances of earth and game to be appreciated. The much more mineral-driven and more precise flavors possess both good vibrancy and depth, all wrapped in mildly austere, balanced and lingering finale. This is really a lovely effort that should drink reasonably well after only 2 to 3 years of bottle age if desired.
