From a .34 hectare parcel, two thirds of which is 70+ years old, one third 35 years old. Now a full 15 years under Bruno’s as-good-as-it-gets biodynamic farming, this continues to produce WOW wines with impressive Grand cru depth and breadth of material. There is great focus and chiseled drive for such a big wine. This will be a stunner in 10-15 years, if you can hold off that long….

“Once again there is lovely purity to the cool, airy highly complex nose that exhibits a wide range of red berry fruit scents that are trimmed in spice, earth, floral and soft wood nuances. This is easily the biggest wine in the range with plenty of mid-palate volume and richness where the broad-shouldered flavors deliver excellent power and punch on the mineral-inflected, powerful and hugely long finish. Impressive but patience will be required. (92-95)/2029” – Allan Meadows

“(from soil rich in marl): Healthy dark red. Aromas of black cherry, red licorice, menthol and mint are lifted by a floral topnote. Wonderfully sweet and tender for a young Corton grand cru but with enough juicy acidity to frame the black cherry and dark berry flavors. Not at all a monster of alcohol (this wine can reach high octane levels in hot vintages) but fine-grained, lively and long, finishing with firm, dusty tannins and mouthcoating, almost candied fruit.” 91-94 Steve Tanzer
