A perennial star of the cellar to my taste, only four barrels were produced in ’13. Another recipient of a little star in my notes: “Awesome. Quite complete, sappy, savory, simply super.” Deliciousness.
“(25% new oak): Good medium red. Musky aromas of redcurrant, iron, dried flowers and red licorice. At once lush and juicy, communicating an attractive sappiness and good inner-mouth lift to the flavors of red fruits, earth and brown spices. Good minerally wine with supple tannins and noteworthy finesse.” 89-91 Tanzer
