From vines that sit ABOVE the Condrieu appellation limits, this is a Condrieu in all but name and $$. One of the best values in the appellation, every year.
DAMN GOOD! (JUST FINISHED A BOTTLE)
Here is Josh Raynolds’ review of the 2012, not the ’13 offered here:
“Green-tinged yellow. High-pitched aromas of fresh citrus fruits, green apple, jasmine and ginger. Stony and precise on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering juicy orange and pear flavors and a touch of peach nectar. Emphatically fruity wine with strong finishing cut and lingering floral character. This wine could easily pass for Condrieu, and a good one at that.” 90 points
